BAC Local 1 meets with the NYC School Construction Authority and the NYC Mayors Office

President Jack Argila, Secretary Treasurer Anthony LaCava and Bricklayers Allied Craftworkers Local 1 officials conducted a meeting with the New York City School Construction Authority, the Department of Design & Construction and the New York City Mayors office to talk about how we can get more masonry products like brick and block onto their new construction projects. We also discussed how we can expand local jobs for Bricklayers in New York City to work with the Mayors community hiring plan. After the meeting, a tour of the Training Center was conducted and everybody had a hands on opportunity to lay some brick.
