Supporting Frontline Workers
Dear Brothers & Sisters,
Since this health crisis started, myself and the Executive Board have been looking for ways to help those individuals on the frontline of this pandemic. Doctors, nurses and all other hospital support staff have been fighting this virus head on with no regard to their own safety. It was an easy decision to want to help those who are caring for possibly one of our own. With that said, we have donated over 800 meals to 8
individual hospitals across Local 1’s jurisdiction. The hospitals that we have donated to are as follows:
- Staten Island Hospital
- Elmhurst Hospital
- Stony Brook Hospital
- Mather Hospital
- St. Charles Hospital
- Good Samaritan Hospital
- Northwell/LIJ Hospital
- Winthrop Hospital
On behalf of the entire Local 1 family, we would like to thank all First Responders, Doctors, Nurses, hospital support staff and all other essential workers who are getting us through this very difficult time. We will continue to help the people on the frontline of this heath crisis as best we can.
